It all leads to the same place

Chandigarh-based artist Ashima Raizada engages with questions of materiality, the body, duality, and oneness. At its very core, Raizada tells us there is no one way of engaging with and articulating the self and the body. For her, it is a journey of constant exploration through materials, ideas, and long-term rumination that contributes to the conversation. This virtual viewing room is an offshoot of a recent physical exhibition by Ashima Raizada at Khuli Khirkee, Delhi — a dance studio and performance institution that has, for over a decade now, been witness to dancing bodies and communities creating meaning through movement. It has been a space where the limits of the body are investigated with the sum of its parts all leading to the same place.
